Alice Selina Campbell

Alice Selina Campbell of Basalt died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002, in Glenwood Springs. She was 75.

She was born Sept. 20, 1927, in La Jara.

In 1961, she moved to Basalt from Boulder.



Ms. Campbell was a homemaker, but her true domain was the outdoors. She loved rock hounding and creating jewelry from stones, camping, hunting, fishing and traveling with her daughter.

She also enjoyed playing cards and board games, particularly Scrabble and pinochle, and going to yard sales.



Ms. Campbell is survived by a daughter, Susan Campbell of Basalt; and a sister, Nancy Newcomb of Denver.

No services were planned.

Farnum-Holt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
