All burned out?

Dear Editor,

Randy Vanderhurst is a good guy, but not the great listener and consensus builder he claims to be. He tried to close public input on the ordinance issue before it even began a month or so ago and then told one of the speakers, “I’ve listened to you for a year now, it’s my turn now baby.” Is this a sign that Randy is burned out? That kind of talk and attitude is not ideal for a mayor.

I’m voting for Michael Hassig even though he is a bit dry and technical sounding. At least you feel like he will really listen to everyone seriously. Also, I think Hassig can run a better meeting when it comes to controversial issues and will treat everyone professionally and with respect.
