All-day fun planned for Kid Kamp this year;

Kid Kamp 2002 can be an all-day affair this year.

The summer camp, open to kids age 5 through 12, offers many fun-filled days of planned activities and special events. Special consideration is given to age, skill level and special interests.

Camp activities include weekly swimming, arts and crafts, a climbing wall, inline skating, games, nature and science, free time, movies and field trips.

The camp will be held every Monday through Friday from June 10 through August 16, except for July 4 and 5, at Sopris Elementary and Glenwood Springs Elementary.

Kid Kamp operates in conjunction with the STAR summer school program.

Kids can attend all day, from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m., or in the morning, from 7:30 a.m. to noon, or the afternoon, from noon to 6 p.m.

The price of the camp varies depending on how long the child will attend and whether the child lives within city limits.

Registration begins Wednesday, May 1. It costs $10 to register a child.

To register, call Kathleen Milbrath at 384-6312 or contact her via e-mail at kmilbrath@ci.glenwood-springs.co.us.
