Alpine Christian graduates class of eight

Post Independent Writer

Staff Report

Alpine Christian Academy graduated eight seniors Saturday in a ceremony at Aspen Glen.

“I’m excited about graduating,” said Laura Yerian, who plans to attend Colorado Christian University in the fall. “I’m ready, but I’m also kind of sad to leave all these people. There’s only eight of us, so we’re a close class.”

The Basalt private school was founded in 1989 and focuses on education through a biblical perspective.

The students graduating this year are: Danielle Boyle, Anna Brevetti, Nicole Buchholzer, Whitney Lund, Hayley Martin, Brittany Quint, Taylor Vories and Yerian. Lund was the class valedictorian.

This year’s students will continue their education at colleges such as Colorado State University, the University of Colorado, Mesa State University, Colorado Mountain College, Johnson and Wales University and Hawaii Pacific University.
