Andres Tena

Andres Tena, 96, of Glenwood Springs, passed away Jan. 6, 2009.

Andres was born in Las Cruses, Namiquipa, Mexico, Nov. 28, 1912, to Antonio Tena and Josefa (Moreno) Tena. Andres was a farmer and an area resident for nine years.

Andres was a member of the Cristo La Roca Church.

He is survived by sons Manuel, Socorro, Jesus, Raul, and Lorenzo; daughters Ana Luisa, Trinidad, and Josefina; 65 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Andres was preceded in death by his wife Ramona (Salaiz) Tena.

A visitation will b e held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8 at the Farnum Holt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at the Farnum Holt Funeral Home with Pastor Paul officiating. A burial will follow at Rosebud Cemetery.
