Area artists make T-shirts for WindWalkers
Five area artists have signed up to design a limited T-shirt collection to benefit WindWalkers and the program’s horses.
WindWalkers Equine Assisted Learning & Therapeutic Center is a nonprofit organization that for 10 years has offered therapeutic riding sessions, horsemanship lessons, group programming and equine-assisted counseling to those with both physical and mental disabilities or issues.
The artists — Marcel Majid Kahhak, Jessica McMahon, Ruth Mollman, Summers Moore and Susan Obermeyer-Strauss — will hold a public reception from 5:30-8 p.m. Saturday at 411 Main St. in Carbondale. Shirts will be for sale there.
The $30 shirts will come in five designs, and preorders begin by phone on Saturday at the number below. Online orders will be available by June 1 at http://www.windwalkerstrc.org.
The project is backed by Glenwood Springs Ford. For information, call 970- 963-2909.
