Van Dyne wins APDT Ian Dunbar Member of the Year Award

The Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) has awarded Laura Van Dyne, who does business as The Canine Consultant LLC, with the 2013 Ian Dunbar Member of the Year Award. She accepted the award at the annual APDT Conference and Trade Show in Spokane, Wash.

Van Dyne is a past APDT board member, committee chair, member of numerous committees and a member of the association since 1994. The Association of Professional Dog Trainers is a professional organization of individual trainers who are committed to becoming better trainers through education.

Van Dyne is committed to continuing education having taken a weeklong training course at the Shedd Aquarium, an eight-week online course on Applied Behavior Analysis through Utah State University, and she attended the International Association of Behavior Consultants Conference in Rhode Island. She attended all these educational events in 2013.
