DORA changes rules for cosmetologists
Deborah Korbel of Paradise Day Spa went back to school recently to upgrade her cosmetology license with Jante International Esthetics Academy in Denver. The Colorado State Board of Regulatory Agencies required in 2012 that esthetians and cosmetologists offering chemical peels and microdermabracians to attain 38 hours more training with an accredited school. They did not grandfather anyone in; even if you have almost 30 years of experience one must still get certified to do these treatments.
Deborah is now compliant with the Colorado division of regulatory agency. The general public should be aware that skin therapists in the state of are required to be in compliance and hold a certificate. Chemical peels and microdermabrasion are effective treatments for acneic and/or aging skin.
Deborah is an expert skin therapist with the International Dermal Institute and is owner/operator of Paradise Day Spa. She specializes in non-invasive skin care for the treatment of aging and acneic skin. Mitzi Kadrmas is a therapist at Paradise Day Spa as well and is in the process of taking classes to offer chemical peels as well.
Paradise Day Spa is located at 2520 Grand Ave Suite 102, Glenwood Springs. Call for an appointment or a free consultation 970-928-9782.
