Memorial Day Commemoration

The American Legion Post 83 will be conducting its annual Memorial Day Commemoration at 11 a.m. Monday, May 25, at the Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs. The general public is encouraged to attend the ceremony, which gave the upcoming three-day weekend its name.

CMS bands final concert

The Carbondale Middle School sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade bands will perform their final concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, in the Carbondale Middle School Auditorium. Sixth-grade selections include “Aztec Dance,” “Let it Go” and “Land of a Thousand Dances.” The seventh grade will perform “Andromeda Overture,” “Asian Sunrise,” “Jubilation” and “Take the A Train.” The eighth grade will perform selections from their Farewell Concert. The public is invited, and the concert is free.

Spring Bike Maintenance: Tires & Tune-ups

Bike techs from Sunlight Ski & Bike will present a spring bicycle maintenance workshop at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. Learn about the importance of keeping your bike well-maintained, what to lube and how to do it, repairing tubes, changing tubes and tires, and the basics of bike tuning. Bring your bike if you can.
