Ride of Silence

The 14th annual Glenwood Springs Ride of Silence bicycle tour takes place on May 18 as part of National Bicycling Month. It pays tribute to cyclists who have been killed in traffic accidents while biking. The “Ride of Silence” is to raise awareness of the legal obligation of the motorist to share the road with cyclists, and cyclists to obey the rules of the road. There is no organized ride in Glenwood Springs this year, so former organizer Lorry Carlson encourages cyclists to have their own Ride of Silence. For more information about the Ride of Silence log onto http://www.rideofsilence.org.
