Three Rivers softball team seeks support
The Three Rivers Little League Junior softball team is on its way to Regionals in Santa Fe, New Mexico, after winning state this weekend. The team is excited to continue its season from July 23-29 and is seeking the community’s support and donations to help cover the cost to attend Regionals. Empowering Emotional Release
The Empowering Emotional Release class takes place from 4:45-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays, July 29 through Aug. 26, at the Glenwood Springs Library. Participate in The Longevity Project
The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.
The Silt Branch Library offers Spanish Storytime for children ages 3-6. This eight-week program will run through July 30. Stories, songs, and activities will explore camping and the outdoors. This program will be held on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. For more information, call 970-876-5500.
Brighter Smiles: Brighter Futures program
The office of Corey I. Johnson, DDS, presents a program designed to allow local, nonprofit causes to raise funds via its Custom Teeth Whitening promotion. The selected organization will be the featured charity of the quarter, and all of the profits from the Custom Teeth Whitening sales will be donated directly to the organization. Silt Heyday will take place again this year at Stoney Ridge Park. This year we celebrate 100 years of Silt. There will be a town-sponsored concert featuring U2, Jimmy Buffet and Heart tribute bands on Friday, July 31; pancake breakfast, parade, food, craft vendors, games, tractor show, quilt show, vintage base ball and free music (Timbermill Music with Twirp at breakfast, The Scones in the afternoon, and Swerve in the evening) on Saturday, Aug. 1; and the Heyday Hobble 5K and the Heyday Car show on Sunday, Aug. 2. Tickets for the Friday concert and booth, parade, Hobble and car show forms are available at http://www.townofsilt.org under the tab for special events, or during normal business hours at the town of Silt office.
