Remembering Rifle

“Remembering Rifle” returns to the Rifle Creek Museum, 337 East Ave.

On Aug. 24, a longtime Rifle resident and friend of many of us, La Verne “Bubbles” Starbuck, a lifelong resident of western Garfield County, will be the featured guest at the museum from 1-3 p.m.

Bubbles, along with her husband, Frank, has been a part of the ranching community for many years. She was also a familiar face in the public school system. From her early years as a teacher in our rural schools to principal in our consolidated schools. She has been a well-known figure in the community for many years and has seen a lot of changes take place in Rifle and western Garfield County.
