The upcoming holiday season will be one of anticipation and happiness for many. For others, it will bring difficult emotions while facing cherished traditions that have been forever changed.

The Glenwood Springs Chapter of HEARTBEAT – Support for Survivors of Suicide Loss – is meeting Tuesday, Dec. 8, to address the holiday season and lend strength and ideas to each other during this coming season. HEARTBEAT is open to anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one through suicide, no matter how long ago. This peer group does not provide or replace therapy; it is simply a safe place where mutual support can be found with others who share this unique pain.

HEARTBEAT meets at 6:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at the First United Methodist Church in Glenwood Springs. Use the Bethel Chapel entrance of the church located at 824 Cooper Ave.
