Mountain Madrigals’ ‘Christmas Memories’

AARP Smart Drive Program

RSVP and Colorado Mountain College are sponsoring AARP driver safety classes. The four-hour class will be given twice: from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, at the El Jebel Community Center, 0020 Eagle County Drive in El Jebel; and from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, at the Colorado Mountain College Senior Center, 1402 Blake Ave. in Glenwood Springs.

The class will cover: how overall fitness affects driving; important strategies for staying crash-free; challenges of city vs. rural driving; tips for highway driving and driving with trucks, buses and other large vehicles; understanding a vehicle’s safety features and new vehicle technology; tips for trying other transportation options; and warning signs of unsafe driving.

Cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers to cover the workbook and handouts.
