YouthEntity to host Western Slope ProStart Boot Camp

YouthEntity will host the Western Slope ProStart Competition Boot Camp, led by the Colorado Restaurant Association Education Foundation from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at the YouthEntity Center in Carbondale, featuring ProStart teachers, competition teams and mentors from the Roaring Fork Valley and the Western Slope. The teams will learn best practices for the upcoming competitions throughout Colorado, with the hope of advancing to the National ProStart Invitational — the country’s premier high school competition focused on restaurant management and culinary arts.

Free seminar to discuss cybersecurity and cloud computing

Glenwood Insurance is hosting a free cybersecurity lunch and learn event from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, at the Carbondale Library, 320 Sopris Ave. Learn how to retain profits, reduce business risk with technology and increase understanding of business insurance.
