Get Your Business Online workshops
The Garfield County Libraries are hosting workshops to help local businesses start taking charge of their online presence. During the workshops, local Internet marketing expert Trent Blizzard of BlizzardPress (blizzardpress.com) will be on hand to teach the importance of claiming a free business listing on Google, and best practices to Get Your Business Online. Workshops are 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, at the Rifle Branch Library; 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at the New Castle Branch Library; and 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at the Silt Branch Library. The business does not have to be in the same city as the workshop. Bring a laptop or mobile device (not required, but helpful) and Google/Gmail account information. New free legal clinic at Basalt Library
A free legal clinic for parties who have no attorney, will be featured from 3:30-5 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at the Basalt Regional Library, 14 Midland Ave. By computer link, volunteer attorneys will answer questions, help fill out forms, and explain the process and procedure for all areas of civil litigation, including family law, property law, probate law, collections, appeals, landlord-tenant law, small claims, veterans issues, and civil protection orders. Walk-ins are welcome, and everyone will be helped on a first-come, first-served basis. Next date is Feb. 8.
