Medicare 101 group education session
Get the answers to questions about Medicare at the Medicare 101 group education session from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, April 5, at the CMC Glenwood Center, 1402 Blake Ave.
How do I enroll; when can I sign up; what if I am still working; what does Medicare cost; do I need additional coverage; what is a Medicare Savings Program and do I qualify; when can I sign up for Medicare D (prescription drug coverage); what is the 2013 Standard Drug Benefit; what is the 2013 Gap Benefit; and how do I get Extra Help (LIS).
Information will be presented by High Country RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) volunteer medicare counselors and will not be represented by any insurance brokers. There is a $10 requested donation for materials.

Cybersecurity Lunch and Learn
DTCI and Glenwood Insurance will make a presentation about how cyber technology can affect your business security and risk from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at the Basalt Library. Panel Discussion: Inclusion As It Needs to Be
Come see a panel of experts answer key questions around how children and adults with disabilities are included in their schools, their workplaces and their communities, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at Courtyard Marriott in Glenwood Springs. RSVP free tax program
If you are a senior, have a disability, or your household income is less than $49,000 per year, High Country RSVP volunteers can prepare and electronically file your federal and state income taxes free of charge.
RSVP volunteers are certified by the IRS and can prepare returns that include: Form 1040; Schedules A, B, EIC (Earned Income Credit) and R; Child and Dependent Care Credits; Education Credits; and Schedule C-EZ for small business owners. (RSVP cannot file Schedule C Profit or Loss from Business; Schedule E for rental properties; complicated and advanced Schedule D for capital gains and losses.)
Appointments are available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through April 18 for clients from Aspen to Parachute. Call 384-8740 to have a volunteer schedule an appointment.
Glenwood Railroad Museum seeks volunteers
The Glenwood Railroad Museum needs the help and support of the greater Glenwood Springs community. In an effort to recruit and train new volunteers to support the ongoing operation of the Glenwood Railroad Museum and its programs, the public is invited to attend a seminar for prospective volunteers at the Glenwood Railroad Museum at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at the Glenwood Railroad Museum.

Registration open for Roaring Fork Women’s Triathlon Team
Registration is now open for the Roaring Fork Women’s Triathlon Team 2016 summer training program. Orientation meeting is Wednesday, April 20, at Glenwood Medical Associates.
