National Month of the Young Child children’s parade

All local schools, child cares, preschools, home providers and families of young children are invited to participate in this year’s children’s parade on Friday, April 25. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. at 10th Street and Pitkin Avenue in Glenwood Springs and finish on the County Courthouse lawn.

The Month of the Young Child is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the Re-1 school district, and the Garfield County Division of Early Childhood and Family Child Care. The focus is to bring public attention to the needs of young children and their families, and to recognize the early childhood programs, services and educators that meet those needs.
