S’now Win Reading Contest

Calling all teens in grades 5-12: The New Castle Branch Library will be hosting a reading contest beginning Feb. 1 to get you out of your reading funk. Read as many books as you can in 28 days, write up short summaries, and submit them to the library. The top three readers will win a prize. All entries are due at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28.

Enjoying Poetry: A Four-Part Series for Beginners

Local author Claudia Putnam will teach four classes about poetry at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on the first and third Tuesdays in February and March at 6 p.m. From old-fashioned to free verse, to the poetry of today, learn how to read and enjoy poetry during one or all of these classes.
