Call for nominations

The 2014 Jackie Morales Distinguished Awards for Community Service will be presented during the 12th annual Festival las Americas, Sunday, Aug. 24, at Sopris Park in Carbondale. What every cyclist should know (and it’s NOT about the bike)

Are you really thick-headed? (Find out about your skull.) What item should you never cycle without? What item can you easily carry that could make the difference between life and death?

Answers to these questions and more from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Glenwood Springs Library. There will be participation from Glenwood Springs EMT and police. Come, share and learn from fellow riders.
