Fall Into Roasted Chilis

The New Castle Community Market, together with WingNutz Grill in Rifle, invites the community to Fall Into Roasted Chilis, from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, on the outdoor patio at El Hacienda Patron in New Castle (on Main Street one block west of Burning Mountain Park). This fun fall event features 2-for-1 margaritas and music on the patio with the talented guitarist Josh Rogan. Grady from WingNutz will be roasting green chilies, which will be available for sale. Laura from Blazing K will be offering her relishes, pickles and fresh veggies for purchase. Sunshine Farms will be there also with lots of tomatoes and veggies. Food Drive for LIFT-UP at Niemann’s Pumpkin Patch

Bring a nonperishable food item to help LIFT-UP and receive an extra ticket for the Pumpkinator (ticket is good for two launches) Sept. 27-28 and Oct. 3-5. Then enjoy more than a dozen fun activities for the entire family including hay rides, straw maze and the new lava pit. Local Girl Scout Troop 2013 will be selling snacks as a fundraiser. Admission: 2 and under, free; ages 3-5, $5; ages 6-59 $8; seniors (60 and over) $7. Come have lots of fun with your family while you help our neighbors through LIFT-UP and support Girl Scout Troop 2013. Niemann’s Pumpkin Patch is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is located at 6501 County Road 214 in New Castle. Call 984-3850 for information.
