Ursa Operating Co. Garfield County semi-annual community update

Ursa Operating Co. presents its Garfield County semi-annual community update meetings this week.

The Silt meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, at the Colorado River Fire Rescue Station 61 (Silt Fire House), 611 Main St., Silt. Appetizers and beverages will be provided.

The Parachute/Battlement Mesa meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, at the Grand Valley Fire Protection District Station 1, 0124 Stone Quarry Road, Parachute. Appetizers and beverages will be provided.

Ursa will provide a recap of its past 6 month operations, an update of its current operations, and plans for the upcoming year.

American Legion Post 100 celebrates 50 years

The American Legion Post 100 in Carbondale is celebrating 50 years (1964-2014). All are invited to a celebration party at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Legion Post. There will be a pig roast, music by Rick Rock and the Roosters, and all the good stuff, drink specials.
