Low Cost Vaccination Clinic
Colorado Animal Rescue presents a low cost vaccination clinic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at the Battlement Mesa Shopping Plaza, next to Clark’s Market (71-1 Sipprelle Drive, Battlement Mesa). Dog and cat vaccines will be available for $10 each, and micro-chipping for $25. Please have dogs on a leash and cats in a carrier. For information: coloradoanimalrescue.org or 970-947-9173.
Annual Elegant Auction & Luncheon
The 22nd annual Elegant Auction & Luncheon hosted by Glenwood Springs Chapter AO of P.E.O. will be held on Dec. 5 at the Hotel Colorado. The proceeds from the Elegant Auction will go towards book scholarships, the Girl Scouts and River Bridge. Viewing of the auction items will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Colorado Room, followed by lunch and live auction in the Devereux Room. All of the auction items are made or gathered by the members of AO. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at A La Carte on Grand Avenue.
Free leaf raking for seniors, disabled
High Country RSVP can help with leaf raking and leaf drop-off, as well as other handyman needs. Helping Hands for Seniors, RSVP’s free handyman program, helps seniors and people with disabilities with small home repairs, maintenance and home adaptations, enabling them to save money and continue to live independently. Carbondale Middle School Veterans Day Celebration
The Carbondale Middle School Band will present its annual Veterans Day Celebration at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, in the Carbondale Middle School Auditorium, 180 Snowmass Drive. The band will perform “The Star Spangled Banner,” the Armed Forces Salute, and “The Stars and Stripes Forever” among other selections. All veterans and the public are welcome.
