Annual Elegant Auction & Luncheon

The 22nd annual Elegant Auction & Luncheon hosted by Glenwood Springs Chapter AO of P.E.O. will be held on Dec. 5 at the Hotel Colorado. P.E.O. is a woman’s organization that was founded in 1869 to promote education and philanthropic activities for women. The Glenwood Springs chapter was organized in 1917. The proceeds from the Elegant Auction will go to local scholarships for area high school graduates. , River Bridge Child Advocacy Center and the Girl Scouts. Viewing of the auction items will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Colorado Room, followed by lunch and live auction in the Devereux Room. All of the auction items are made or gathered by the members of AO. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at A La Carte on Grand Avenue. PEO Chapter AO welcomes everyone to support our community while enjoying a festive lunch and auction. For more information call 970-945-5027.

Erin Fangman, Kate McMahon, Elise Metzger and Rebecca Rembold were awarded $750 Book Scholarships from the local PEO, AO Chapter. All four young women are 2014 Glenwood Springs High School graduates. Erin attends Gonzaga University in Spokane Washington; Kate attends St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana; Elise attends Furman University, Grenville, South Carolina and Rebecca attends Chapman University in Orange, California.
