Cdale events task force to discuss park events
Carbondale’s Special Events Task Force will meet at the 5:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Town Hall to discuss 2015 music events at the Sopris Park Gazebo.
The subcommittee, which was organized in response to event-related noise complaints near the park and downtown, will take public comment from the public and special event organizers.
2nd Saturday for New Castle Senior Center Holiday Craft Fair
The annual New Castle Senior Center Holiday Craft Fair is open a second Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 13, at the New Castle Senior Housing Activity Center. There will be unique gifts and decorations including items for fans of the Broncos.

Show off your holiday spirit by being part of the New Castle Branch Library’s Gingerbread Contest. Everyone is invited to submit their gingerbread creations beginning Monday, Dec. 1, and prizes will be awarded the best child, teen, and adult submissions. All submissions are due to the New Castle Branch Library by 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, and voting will take place later that day at our Holiday Tea and Cookie Exchange at 12 p.m. For more information, call 970-984-2346.

Redstone Castle Tours
Guided tours of the Historic Redstone Castle are Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. through the winter with special Holiday tours Dec. 22-26 and 29-31. Visit the baronial home of Redstone’s founder, J. C. Osgood. Take a step back in time and learn about coal mining, railroad and model company town, all in 1900. Tickets available on the day of the tour in Redstone.
