One Arm Bandit at Carbondale Wild West Rodeo

The Carbondale Wild West Rodeo welcomes one of the best rodeo acts in the country on June 27. The One Arm Bandit And Company brings horses, buffalo and amazing cowboy skills to town.

On July 4, the rodeo will host world famous Joe Carr, funny man and rodeo clown along with ranch bronc riding competition.

Cub Scout rummage sale

The New Castle Cub Scouts, Pack 221, are “Scouting for Stuff.” They would appreciate donations for and support of their rummage sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 29, at the old Burning Mountain Bowl, next to City Market. Contact Heather Allison at 970-433-0160 to arrange a pickup for any “stuff.” All proceeds will go to benefit local kids and Scouting’s community efforts like maintaining park tetherball courts.
