Meeting for North Glenwood DDA

North Glenwood DDA property owners are invited to a discussion on short- and long-term issues affecting the North Glenwood area from pending construction activities, at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, at the offices of SGM, 118 W. Sixth St. Participate in providing guidance from local property owners and businesses to the city, DDA and CDOT.

Food For Fines

During the month of February bring in nonperishable food items to any of the six Garfield County Libraries and receive $1 credit for each item you donate. Credits can be applied only to current fines and cannot go toward lost materials or fees. Food items will be given to the local LIFT-UP and cannot be expired. Suggested donations include canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, jelly and pasta.

An attorney from Brown & Brown P.C. will host this presentation and be available to answer your individual questions. Space is limited. Call the library at 970-945-5958 to register. This event will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library.

Are you ready to live a more creative, joyful life? Join art educator and professional life coach Pam Porter on Wednesday or Friday mornings at CCAH’s classroom at the Third Street Center in Carbondale. There will be uplifting creativity coaching exercises and visionary collage work that will helps participants gain clarity and manifest their dreams. CCAH provides tea, snacks and materials. CASA volunteer training

Court Appointed Special Advocates of the 9th Judicial District will be holding a volunteer training in Glenwood Springs beginning Feb. 16. Volunteers must be 21 years old, have an interest in making a difference in the lives of abused and neglected children, have excellent writing skills, be computer literate, pass a rigorous background check, and be able to participate in a 30-hour training.
