Garfield County Picnic

The 2013 Garfield County Employee Recognition Picnic will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at Courtyard Plaza in Glenwood Springs. The Rifle Annex will be closed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day.



A Course In Miracles

A Course In Miracles takes participants on a journey through a year of spiritual study in a group dynamic. Sessions begin Sept. 24 in Glenwood Springs and continue from 5:30-7 p.m. on Tuesdays; sessions begin Sept. 25 in Carbondale and continue from 1:30-3 p.m. on Wednesdays. There is a minimum monthly fee, and books are available.

Calling all New Castle Artists & Craftspeople

The New Castle Branch Library is calling local artists and craftspeople to host their work from Tuesday, Sept. 3, to Saturday, Sept. 7. The library is also looking to host artists and craftspeople willing to demonstrate the creative process on Saturday, Sept. 7. Anyone interested in exhibiting their work is invited to drop off items for display on Saturday, Aug. 31, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Contact Ann to reserve a spot at 984-2346 or ahonchell@gcpld.org.
