The Garfield County Libraries, Glenwood Springs Masonic Lodge and Colorado Mountain College invite the community to celebrate the placing of the final stone for the new Glenwood Springs Branch Library. The Cornerstone Ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at Cooper Commons, 815 Cooper Ave. Everyone is welcome to attend, and kids will have a chance to participate. Refreshments will be served following the brief ceremony.
Suicide Prevention training
Aspen Hope Center presents free Community Suicide Prevention Training sessions from 6:15-7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Colorado River Fire Station 41, 1850 Railroad Ave. in Rifle; and from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, at New Castle Town Hall, 450 W. Main St.
Glenwood Springs Fall Art Festival
The Glenwood Springs Fall Art Festival will be held Sept. 25-29 in the Ramada Inn and Suites, 124 W. Sixth St. in Glenwood Springs. Hours are: Wednesday, Sept. 25th, galleries open 3-10 p.m. and Bargain Bin open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday, Sept. 26-28, galleries and Bargain Bin open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday, Sept. 29, galleries and Bargain Bin open 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. There will be free art demonstrations throughout the week.
