Begin your nursing degree at CMC

Colorado Mountain College is holding an informational meeting for anyone interested in learning how to earn a nursing degree. The next meeting will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, at CMC’s Glenwood Center (1402 Blake Ave. in Glenwood Springs).

Geneology Resources Program

Genealogy Resources is a free introductory program offered at the New Castle Branch Library from 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9. This program is presented by genealogy consultant Diane Hitchcock-Owens and will teach how to start researching family history and provide valuable tools including free resources available through the Garfield County Library District website: http://www.gcpld.org.

TAG Meeting

Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to the New Castle Branch Library at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, for the chance to plan library programs, purchase books, movies and music for teens, and then stick around after the meeting for games, crafts and snacks. For more information, call 984-2346.

Adult Scrabble Club

The New Castle Branch Library adult Scrabble Club meets from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Beginners and experts, and anyone who loves words, games and having fun are encouraged to join this club to make new friends and learn new Scrabble strategies.
