The Rock Shop closed temporarily

The Rock Shop is temporarily closed for a major remodel. That paneling from the ’70s has got to go. The store reopens the week of Thanksgiving.



Carbondale Middle School Veterans Day Concert

Carbondale Middle School will present its annual Veterans Day Concert at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11.



The event is open to the public, and all veterans are invited to attend as very special guests.

The CMS Gulo Gulo Band, under the direction of Mean Old Mr. Gray, will perform “The Star Spangled Banner,” “America, the Beautiful,” “My Country, tis of Thee,” “Hymn for the Fallen” by John Williams, and “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.“

The celebration takes place in the CMS auditorium, 180 Snowmass Drive in Carbondale.

Parents’ Night Out

Enjoy an afternoon out with the kiddos. Get some Christmas shopping done, see a movie or even have an dinner together … uninterrupted! The First United Methodist Church in Glenwood Springs (Ninth & Cooper) is hosting a Parents’ Night Out from 2-7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, for children 3 years old (must be potty trained) to 12 years old.
