Advocate Safehouse Project seeks helpline volunteers

Advocate Safehouse Project is in need of volunteers to help on its helpline. A 30-hour volunteer training will be offered from 6-9 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, from Sept. 12-29. Join a team of dedicated volunteers and staff at the Advocate Safehouse Project and make a difference in your community by supporting victims of sexual and domestic violence. Family Movie Night



The New Castle Chamber and town of New Castle are sponsoring Family Movie Night at Elk Creek Elementary in New Castle. “Cars” will be shown on Sept. 1. There will be games at 8 p.m. followed by the movie at 8:30 p.m. Bring a chair. Concessions will be available.
