Carbondale Homeless Assistance book sale

Carbondale Homeless Assistance is hosting a book sale Oct. 1 to benefit the habitat challenged in Carbondale. If you would like to donate books for the sale, please do so at Faith Lutheran Church, 1340 Colorado 133 in Carbondale.

Creating Dazzling Worlds

Laura Resau will explore ways to offer readers the joy of entering another world, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at the New Castle Library. Adults and teens will do short, fun writing exercises to help make their stories vivid, multi-sensory experience that readers can’t resist. Lunch is on your own. One Book One Town: Author Talk

Louisa Hall’s “Speak” is the selection for the 13th annual Carbondale Branch Library One Book One Town event. Hall will give a presentation at the library at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, in the Community Room.
