Libraries closing for Thanksgiving holiday

All six branches of the Garfield County Libraries will be closing early at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, and will remain closed on Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25, in celebration of Thanksgiving. The libraries will reopen at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26. You can still browse and request books, movies, and more at during the closure.

Medicare Aware

Crystal DeCora will teach a free class with information about Medicare and what options are available at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, at the Rifle Branch Library. This is purely an educational event, led by a licensed financial adviser, trained and certified with Medicare. For more information visit
