Derby Day celebration

Get together in New Castle with friends and family to celebrate spring and Derby Day in support of the New Castle Community Market at the New Castle Community Center from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, May 6. All proceeds will go toward improving the local summer market by helping pay for music, new banners and signs, and advertising.

This event features wine, beer and appetizers from Western Slope wineries, a local brewery and many restaurants. A donation of $15 can be paid at the door. The fundraiser is sponsored by Spirits of New Castle and the ANB Bank. There will also be music by the Leonard Curry Trio, a silent auction, and if you love hats now is the time to create your special Derby Hat. There will be a prize for the best hat, too.
