Gerbera Daisy Golf Tournament
You’re invited to the Gerbera Daisy Golf Tournament at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Glenwood Springs Golf Club. This nine hole scramble is in memory of Debra Sea.
Cost is $75/person or $290/team of four. Proceeds benefit the Integrated Therapies program at Valley View Hospital’s Calaway Young Cancer Center.

Spirit of Transformation benefit
The Spirit of Transformation benefit will take place from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Eagle’s Club, 312 Seventh St. in Glenwood Springs. Proceeds from the event will help Dale Roper and Debbie Anderson with medical expenses. The benefit will feature music by Dry Hollow, Leonard Curry Trio, Louie and the Lizards and Fifty50; silent auction; $20 lunch plate; cash bar; and the Broncos game live on TV.
Free legal clinic
A free legal clinic for parties who have no attorney, will be featured from 3:30-5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at Basalt Regional Library at 14 Midland Ave. By computer link, volunteer attorneys will answer questions, help fill out forms, and explain the process and procedure for all areas of civil litigation, including family law, property law, probate law, collections, appeals, landlord-tenant law, small claims, veterans issues, and civil protection orders. Walk-ins are welcome, and everyone will be helped on a first-come, first-served basis.
Robin Jackson fundraiser
The women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion in Carbondale will be hosting a fundraiser for longtime resident Robin Jackson from Carbondale starting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the legion, 97 N. Third in Carbondale. Robin has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is undergoing chemo and radiation.
The event features a Halloween costume party, silent auction, music, piñata, guessing games and food. Food includes a variety of appetizers, chicken wings, pulled pork sandwiches, sloppy joes, meatballs, deviled eggs and much more for $10.
Silent auction items include a golfing foursome at Aspen Glen, homemade gift basket of canned and baked goods, a pair of custom area rugs, a pair of homemade Broncos shirts, Broncos light and much more.
