Hanna Emily Farrar graduates medical school

Hanna Emily Farrar, daughter of Cathie and Davis Farrar of Carbondale, graduated from University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio Medical School on May 24, 2014. She will do her residency in orthopedic surgery at UTHSCSA in San Antonio. She received her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, in 2009.

Wesley Toews named to dean’s honor roll at Fort Hays State University

Wesley James Toews, of Rifle, has been named by Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kan., to the deans honor roll for the spring 2014 semester. To be eligible, students must have enrolled in 12 or more credit hours and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60 for the semester. Toews, a senior, is majoring in geology.
