Roaring Fork Sports Foundation grants scholarships

The Roaring Fork Sports Foundation recently awarded scholarships to Toni Gross, Roaring Fork High School, who will be attending Colorado State University in the fall; Henry Hill, Glenwood Springs High School, who will be attending Carroll College; and Garrett Lowe, Glenwood Springs High School, who will be attending Colorado Mesa University in the fall. Each student was awarded $1,000 per year for four years.

The foundation’s Kick-Off Classic golf tournament, held June 14 at Aspen Glen, benefits student-athletes in the Roaring Fork Valley. A special thanks goes out to the following apparel sponsors: Glenwood Insurance, MRI, Murray Dental Group, Alpine Bank, McDonald’s, Mr Vac and Carl J. Ciani Agency.

Thanks to Moe’s Southwest Grill for donating the grilling food as well as Premier Party Rental for supplying the grills, and to Inner Mountain and Orrison Distributing for the beverages supplied on the course.

Thank you to the following booster clubs for their help on the course: Roaring Fork Rams Parents, Basalt Longhorn Parents and Glenwood Springs Demons Parents.

A special thanks to Aspen Glen and their staff for making this event special year after year.
