Family Filoha Fireflies, Bats and Bugs

Discover the aquatic insects, Townsend’s big-eared bats and fireflies that live at Filoha Meadows near Redstone from 7:30-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, and Tuesday, July 16. Join Roaring Fork Conservancy to learn about these animals’ adaptations through hands-on discovery, games, and activities. Once it is dark try to catch a firefly for close examination. GSHS Class of 1983 Reunion

The Glenwood Springs High School Class of 1983 is holding a reunion during Strawberry Days Weekend.

At noon Saturday, there will be a family barbecue at Glenwood Insurance Agency. Afterwards, the fun heads over to the park to listen to the bands.

On Sunday there will be rafting with Steve Ochko and Randy Rippy (sign up on Saturday).

Kids fly fishing camp

Frying Pan Anglers is hosting a “kids fly fishing camp.” It is taking place June 22 and 23. The event will take place locally on the private waters of Frying Pan Anglers in Basalt. The event is great for kids of ages 5-18. There will be camping, fly fishing lessons, entomology lessons, camp fire stories and smores! Call Frying Pan Anglers for details. 970-927-3441.
