CARE donates for Frasier at River Bridge

The Colorado Animal Rescue (CARE) board has provided a generous grant to River Bridge Regional Center for the nutrition needs of Frasier, River Bridge’s facility dog. Frasier, who provides calm and warm support to the child clients of River Bridge, received extensive training for the first two years of his life from Canine Companions for Independence.

At River Bridge, children who have experienced abuse or neglect receive services such as a forensic interview, medical care, and mental health treatment. And Frasier frequently accompanies them every step of the way, including all the way to the courthouse, if children need to testify against their abuser. River Bridge is very grateful for this support from CARE, and proud to have Frasier be “adopted” in this way by CARE.

Scouts install tetherballs

The New Castle Cub Scouts Pack 221 discovered six years ago that the town did not have any tetherballs. They addressed the situation, and installed four of them in several parks at no cost to the town. Additionally, they maintain these at no cost to the community.
