YouthChefs cook up a final exam, earn scholarships

YouthEntity is busier than ever as it prepares youth for real-life experiences. Congrats to our YouthChefs baking and pastry arts students who prepared a fabulous buffet recently as their final exam for friends and family. To top it off, the students were each surprised with $1,000 scholarships to the Escoffier School of Culinary Arts to reward their passion for all things culinary. Congrats again students and to Chef Instructor Kelly Yepello.

Steele-Coombs wedding

Kyle Wade Coombs and Leslie Gail Steele were united in marriage on Sept. 14, 2013, at the Jolley Ranch in New Castle, Colo.

The officiant was the Rev. Edward Schmidt of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

The groom is employed by Adler Oil Services, and the bride works as a paraprofessional at Rifle Middle School.

They make their home in Rifle, Colo.

Jacksons celebrate 65th anniversary

Carter and Louise (van Keuren) Jackson of Glenwood Springs celebrated their 65th anniversary on Saturday. They were married Dec. 21, 1948, in Chester, Penn.

Their children are Theresa Dando, Susan Jackson, Patty Cook and Sandy Jackson. They have seven grandchildren.
