Dalby, Wendland & Co. volunteers help construct home for local families
Employees of Dalby, Wendland & Co. traded in their adding machines for hammers and saws on May 30 to participate in a team-build to help Habitat for Humanity Roaring Fork Valley (RFV) construct its newest family home. The duplex home, located in Silt, was in its early stages of build. The DWC team learned some valuable framing skills, and the day proved to be very productive.
DWC Principal and team-build volunteer Lynn Kleager said, “We had fun working together outside of the office doing something totally different while at the same time giving back to our community and feeling good about the contribution we made.”
This is the second year DWC has participated in a team build. The event is so popular among employees that a lottery is held each year to determine which staff members win a spot on the team.
DWC would like to thank Habitat for Humanity RFV for making homeownership a reality for families in our community. To learn how you can help too, visit habitatroaringfork.org, or call 970-309-3088 to volunteer.
