All-State Concert Band was hosted by UNC in Greeley on May 31 through April 2. Students earned the right to participate through an extremely competitive live audition in December. Thousands of kids auditioned, and 220 kids earned a spot in two bands: Symphonic Band for kids from schools with 1,100 or more students and Concert Band for kids from schools with less than 1,100.
Representing Garfield School District Re-2 were Alicia Zinn from Coal Ridge High School on clarinet and Teyo Bennet from Rifle High School on tuba.
