Nelson S. Bell graduates basic military training

Air Force Airman Nelson S. Bell graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.



Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Bell earned distinction as an honor graduate.

Participate in The Longevity Project

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.



He is the son of Jim Wright and Sarah Bell-Wright of New Castle, Colorado.

The airman is a 2014 graduate of Coal Ridge High School, New Castle, Colorado.
