Starr raised more than $19,000 for nonprofit

Catholic Charities has presented Chandra Starr the “Msgr Thomas Dentici Friends of Charity Award” at The Hotel Colorado. At just 13-years-old, Starr is the youngest recipient of the award. Starr created The Million Penny Project in Glenwood Springs covering the Roaring Fork Valley and raised more than $19,000, to benefit local Non-profit Growing Food Forward.

For the first time, there were four award recipients including, Margaretta Bruegger, Norma Barr, and Don and Marion Laughlin.
