Ross Montessori helps out Head Start

Ross Montessori Charter School’s lower elementary class, headed by Mrs. Mary Knutson, donated books in English and Spanish to the Carbondale Head Start Program. They wanted to be good neighbors, help other young readers get some great titles to read, and help build Head Start’s small library of books to keep. Mrs. Andrea MP Harris, Ross Montessori’s Spanish and ELL teacher, joined Mary’s class with this gift and helped communicate the joys of reading to their Spanish-speaking students. It was a great experience that will help the Ross Montessori students understand the gift of giving and help Head Start have better resources to build a good educational foundation for their students.
