The Grizzly hockey Pee Wee team members and their siblings prepare to board the bus for a Colorado Avalanche hockey game. The Grizzlies were in Denver for the All-American Hockey tournament and placed fourth out of 12 teams. Players, coaches and family members enjoyed heading to the Avalanche Hockey game together aboard the coach.

Local graduates from basic military training

U.S. Air Force Airman Kevin J. Drudge graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Drudge is the son of James A. Drudge of Grand Junction, and Kerry L. Schaefer of Carbondale.

He is a 2016 graduate of Roaring Fork High School.
