Roaring Fork Women’s Tri Team shows up at Shortcut

This year, the Strawberry Shortcut celebrated its 40th anniversary, and at the same time the Roaring Fork Women’s Tri Team celebrated its 18th year of running the Shortcut as a team. The race comes after seven weeks of training and is the mid-way bench mark for the summer triathlon program. The 14-week training program will end with a field trip to Denver to participate in the Tri for the Cure Sprint Triathlon. This year’s team saw over 50 current and alumni members attend the race. Podium age group finishes abound with first place finishes for: Tess Jankovsky; Lorraine Escue; Sharma Phillips; and Jeannette Chiapinelli; second place for: Natasha Ellwood; Tanya Allen; Susan Cottle; Margot Fishman; and Maureen Nuckols; and third place for: Angela Hanley; Heidi Halladay; Cindy Davis; and Carla Westerman. Congrats to all.
