Mike and Janel Madrigal of Rifle are happy to announce the marriage of their daughter, Shannon Marie Madrigal, to Kirk Edward Cochran, son of George and Terri Cochran of Fort Collins, Colorado.
Shannon and Kirk were united in marriage on May 9, 2015, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Castle Rock, Colorado, with Father Brad Noonan and Deacon John Keyser, the bride’s godfather, presiding.
Shannon graduated from Rifle High School and University of Denver College of Law earning a Juris Doctor. Kirk is a Rocky Mountain High School graduate and earned a Bachelor of Science in business from Colorado State University. The couple reside in the Denver area.

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.
The Rotary Club of Roaring Fork, Club Rotario, hosted its scholarship awards night recently. The club awarded scholarships to 22 students from Basalt, Roaring Fork, Glenwood Springs, Coal Ridge and Rifle high schools and Colorado Mountain College. Not included in the photo are: Karina-Emily Rivas-Medina (Basalt High School); Veronica Santoyo-Toscano (Rifle High School); and from Colorado Mountain College, Luz Aguilar-Galaviz, Veronica Mendivil, Jesse Monsalve, Jorge Antonio Olivas, and Cynthia Ruiz.
