Valley View Hospital honors caregivers
The Valley View Hospital family gathered at Aspen Glen on April 25 to honor colleagues at the Spirit of Caring Event 2014. This annual event provides an opportunity to recognize our colleagues who go above and beyond every day. Nominations come from staff, physicians, administration, volunteers and patients. During the program, all nominees were honored with recognition and a personalized gift. As is tradition, last year’s award recipients presented to this year’s award winners. Our 2014 winners are: Karen Barbee, individual caregiver; Aki Al-Zubaidi, D.O., physician champion; Hospitalists, team (Jennifer York, D.O., and Eleanor Perry, PA-C); Alice Bell, volunteer; and Lorda, “Heeling Partner Dog.”
This year’s theme was Western Barbeque, and attendees dressed the part with hats and boots galore. DJ Matt Felt kept guests on their feet and on the dance floor.
